WORKING WITH DIFFERENCES AND CONFLICT IN CHALLENGING TIMES
Conflict Fluency is the ability to interact with conflict in intentional and effective ways. It requires deepening our knowledge of our "natural" reactions to conflict, our ways of analyzing conflict, and increasing our flexibility for "taming" conflict.
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
How effective are you dealing with conflict in your teams, organizations and communities? Conflict is not only a normal part of daily life; it is also a necessary part of change, creativity, collaboration and innovation. In today's complex and diverse world, working effectively with conflict is an essential skill for success.
This engaging, skills-based workshop will increase your effectiveness dealing with difficult situations or conflicts in teams and organizations. By developing conflict fluency, individuals and groups will better manage conflict "reactions", guide and lead others through conflicts, prevent escalation and achieve resolution.
Specifically aimed for those who lead projects, teams and organizations, the workshop will:
The workshop integrates the latest research and knowledge from neurobiology, intercultural competency and Tai Chi. Highlights include: Identifying and working with our "somatic" responses to conflict; centering and the practice of connecting; analyzing and intervening in conflict based on different conflict dimension; and adapting cultural conflict styles to enhance connection, listening and understanding.
